School Fees

All fees listed below are charged in Qatari Riyals, and are payable in advance of attendance to the Swiss International School of Qatar. The fees are assessed in accordance with the fee structure established by the school and approved by the Ministry of Education. They will be reviewed annually, and are subject to increases. SISQ will endeavour to give at least one term’s notice of any changes to the tuition fees and additional charges.

The annual fee includes:

  • Tuition
  • Loan of text books
  • Extra-curricular activities offered by SISQ staff
  • Local community service activities and trips

The annual fee does not include:

  • School resources
  • School uniform
  • Extra learning support
  • Extra-curricular activities offered by external providers
  • School trips and educational visits
  • Examination fees (these depend on the Year Group of the child, and will be communicated to parents at the beginning of the academic year)
  • Some special events

Additional Fees and Deposits

The following charges are due as part of the application process at the Swiss International School of Qatar.

Examination FeeExamination fees depend on the Year Group of the child, and will be communicated to parents at the beginning of the academic year. These fees vary according to those imposed externally, and invoices for these fees are sent out well in advance of the examinations or external assessment. Failure to pay the examination or assessment fees will be taken as an indication that the student is not intending to participate in external assessment nor sit the examinations and will therefore be withdrawn from the examinations
Lost or damaged text booksAt the end of the academic year books must be returned in the same condition in which they were issued. A charge will be made for textbooks/library books lost or damaged beyond the accepted standard
Additional lessons/special activities or excursionsParents will be notified in advance of any charges for additional lessons, other external examinations, special activities or excursions. Parents will be invoiced separately for any extraordinary expenses incurred by their child

Payment Details

The annual school fees are to be paid in three instalments as follows each academic year:

  • 1st September
  • 1st January
  • 1st April

Fees not paid by the 1st of the following month, 1st October, 1st February, 1st May are subject to an administration charge of QR 250 per invoice and parents will have a further 14 days to settle the account. Accounts not settled within the 14 days will incur a further QR 250 charge per invoice and parents to settle the account within 7 days or the school place will be removed.

Re-Enrolment Pre-Payment

A QAR 2500 Re-Enrolment Pre-Payment (Seat Reservation Fee) is due during the term 2 of each academic year to secure a place for the next academic year. This will be deducted from the first termly instalment of the next academic year's tuition fee.


For families who wish to withdraw their child from the school, one term’s notice is required. Without the required notice, all fees for the following term are payable.

The Swiss International School of Qatar reserves the right to withdraw an already registered student when any or all of the following conditions apply:

  • The child’s presence in the class has an ongoing negative impact on her/his classmates
  • The child’s behaviour is determined to have a detrimental impact on the school community
  • The child’s attendance record is unacceptable
  • The child’s learning needs cannot be met given available resources

No refund of fees will be given om the event of any or all of the above cases. 


If a family choose to withdraw their child’s application after the place is confirmed, notification must be given in writing before the first termly installment of fees are due. Failure to do so will lead to the first termly fee installment to be payable.
