Arabic, Islamic and Qatari History

As an international school in Qatar, SISQ follows the Ministry of Education’s mandated programme for Arabic, Islamic Studies and Qatar History.

All the Early Year's students have two Arabic lessons each week and students in Grades 1 to 5, who are required to study Arabic as stated by Ministry of Education, do so for four hours a week. The Ministry content is studied and inquiry-based learning is encouraged. Students who are not required to study Arabic by the Ministry of Education are still provided with two hours of Arabic per week to introduce them to the language of the host country.

Islamic Studies is taught to all Muslim students. Grade 1-5 students study Qatar History and make links with the primary programme of study whenever possible
