Successful Start

Our Transition Programme, SISQ Small Steps, Shining Start, is built on the belief that strong relationships are the foundation of a successful beginning. At SISQ, we place enormous importance on connection, getting to know each child and their family long before the first day of school.

From the moment a place is offered, families are welcomed into our community through our First Connections event in June, where you Meet the Team, enjoy a playdate, and receive key information for the start of school so your family feels fully prepared. This is followed by Meet the Community the day before the academic year begins, where you meet your child’s teacher and peers, and finally Gentle Start, our soft start to the year, where children settle into the classroom in small groups during the first week.

This allows us to build a strong connection with your child from the very beginning of their learning journey, ensuring they feel confident, secure, and ready to begin school.
