School Fees and Financial Conditions 2023-2024

All fees listed below are charged in Qatari Riyals, and are payable in advance of attendance to the Swiss International School. The fees are assessed in accordance with the fee structure established by the school and approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Fees will be reviewed annually, and are subject to increases. SISQ will endeavour to give at least one term’s notice of any changes to the tuition fees and additional charges.

All amounts stated below are in Qatari Riyals.

The annual fee includes:

  • Tuition
  • School resources
  • Loan of text books
  • Extra-curricular activities offered by SISQ staff
  • Local community service activities and trips

The annual fee does not include:

  • School uniform
  • Extra learning support
  • Extra-curricular activities offered by external providers
  • School trips and educational visits
  • Examination fees (these depend on the Year Group of the child, and will be communicated to parents at the beginning of the academic year)
  • Some special events

Additional Fees and Deposits

The following charge is due as part of the application process at the Swiss International School:

Lost or damaged text booksA charge will be made for textbooks/library books lost or damaged beyond the accepted standard
Additional lessons/special activities or excursionsParents will be notified in advance of any charges for additional lessons, other external examinations, special activities or excursions. Parents will be invoiced separately for any extraordinary expenses incurred by their child

MoEHE Approved Fees 2023/2024 Academic Year 

Please note SISQ has applied for fee increase for 2023/2024 academic year and is currently waiting for MoEHE decision.

Payment Details

The annual school fees are to be paid before the below mentioned dates:

  • 27 August 2023 - Term 1
  • 1st January 2024 - Term 2
  • 21st March 2024 - Term 3

If not settled by the due dates, delay in payments may lead to:

  • blocking of school reports
  • non-issuance of reference letters
  • blocking of reenrollment for next academic year
  • others as approved by the MoEHE

Payment Methods

All payments at Swiss International School can be made as outlined below: 

  • Bank transfer – Please mention your child’s name in the transfer’s details and provide a copy of the transfer document to [email protected]. All bank commissions should be borne by the payer
  • Cash - at our collections office in the school campus
  • Cheque – to be addressed to Swiss International School

Our preferred payment method is bank transfer. SISQ does not recommend payments in cash.

    Withdrawals

    For families who wish to withdraw their child from the school, one term’s notice is required. Without the required notice, all fees for the following term are payable.

    Swiss International School reserves the right to withdraw an already registered student when any or all of the following conditions apply:

    • The child’s presence in the class has an ongoing negative impact on her/his classmates
    • The child’s behaviour is determined to have a detrimental impact on the school community
    • The child’s attendance record is unacceptable
    • The child’s learning needs cannot be met given available resources

    Cancellations

    If a family choose to withdraw their child’s application after the place is confirmed, notification must be given in writing before the first termly installment of fees are due.
